These days, there are many websites which let you create an animated GIF quickly and easily.
GIFs offer no worries about crashing your PowerPoint presentation as they’re a small file size and they’re becoming increasingly easier to make. In the past people had to use sophisticated software or programs like Photoshop to create and edit them.
It’s the perfect combination of image and video that really captures your audiences attention. By using a GIF instead you can offer a really convenient, fast and totally silent way to express something. Videos take some time to watch and produce sound. Regular photos in JPG or PNG format work perfectly fine in presentations, but a GIF can make your presentation that little bit more special – a mini video, with no sound, that can be watched from start to finish in as little as one or two seconds in a simple, auto-looping fashion. With the revised GIF on your computer, you’re ready to insert it on a slide in PowerPoint.

So, why are we even making any changes in this dialog box. It’s important to note that it really does not matter what exact Width or Height you type in the boxes of the same name, because PowerPoint only creates animated GIFs in four heights (240, 480, 720, and 1080 pixels) and just uses the proportionate widths. You can choose between Standard (4:3) and Widescreen (16:9) options, or you could choose the Custom Slide Size option, which brings up the Slide Size dialog box that you can see in Figure 2, below. Doing so will bring up the Slide Size drop-down menu you can see in Figure 1, below. You can change these proportions by accessing the Design tab on the Ribbon, and then clicking the Slide Size button. If you are creating a new presentation from scratch for the animated GIF, make sure that your PowerPoint slide proportions are exactly what you want.
